Record Cold Weather Clutches Bensenville

Record cold weather clutched Bensenville and the Chicagoland area this week.

"-15 recorded at O'Hare at 7 a.m. breaks record Jan. 6 low set in 1894 and 1988-according to NBC Chicago.

The wind chill factor was also reported as -42 degrees at O'Hare, also according to NBC Chicago. THAT. IS. COLD! We decided to not hold our weekly Worship Service on Sunday, January 5, as we were concerned about peoples' safety and didn't want anyone to get hurt trying to brave the weather. Local schools were closed earlier this week as well.

We are not out of the woods yet! Today's high will be just 18 degrees, which may feel like a heat wave after the below zero temperatures we've been experiencing!
