...you have an important job ahead of you.
You may not realize this, but Easter is the biggest Sunday of the year for a young church. We are more likely to see new people at Easter than any other time.
And this year, Easter will be even bigger than usual. We're hoping to have a bigger band (we'll see how that goes), we're having a pancake breakfast before the gathering, and we're advertising it as a sort of Grand Re-opening (New location! New pastor!) - so there's lots to get excited about!
But, for the most part, people don't come to church because of a great website or great marketing or whatever. Most of the time, they come because someone who loves that church invited them. So, if that's you, there are a few things you can do that are really easy.
First, just invite someone. If you know someone who hasn't been to The Anchor in awhile, give them a call. If you know your neighbor doesn't have a church home, stop by and give them an invitation.
Barna Research did a survey a few years back that said that eight out of ten people would give a church a try if invited by someone they knew and trusted. Eight out of ten! Also, Sunday we will have a printed "letter from the pastor" that you can take with you to share with your friends, in case you just want to let Pastor Ed do the talking.

Second, share some stuff on Facebook. Over the next two weeks, we will be putting a few REALLY sharable posts up on The Anchor's Facebook page. Share them on your page. Or better yet, share them AND tag your Facebook friends. These posts will link back to a specific invitation on our webpage with all of the Easter Sunday details.
If you haven't liked or reviewed The Anchor on Facebook, click HERE to do it now.
And finally, but most importantly, pray. Please, everyone, pray that, if God wants to grow The Anchor in size and influence in this community, he will cause all of our efforts to bear fruit.
