Kid's Kamp Kids Camp

Sometimes, the sheer fun of The Anchor's children's ministry, AnchorKids, spills over in all directions!  This summer, AnchorKids Minister "Miss Val" Sutton brings all the fun and excitement of Bensenville's own high-quality children's ministry to Camp LRCA in northwestern Indiana for two "Kid's Kamps"!

These Kid's Kamps serve as a great introduction to camp for younger children, exposing them to all the fun they can have.

And sure enough, Saturday, June 28, 2014 was a day filled with singing, crafts, playing and learning for two dozen early elementary students (and about a dozen adults, too... including The Anchor's own Pastor Sam Barnhart!)  Kindergarteners, First Graders and Second Graders made new friends as they learned about how God loves us all the way down to our dirty, stinky feet... and how we are all SENT to tell others about Jesus!

Though the word "feet" brought giggles, everyone left Kid's Kamp excited to be the hands and feet of Christ to all they met.

The next Kid's Kamp will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Camp LRCA.  All K-2nd graders are invited to come along!  For more information about Kid's Kamp, or to find out about carpools, scholarships and volunteer opportunities at Kid's Kamp, please contact Val Sutton via email or in person at AnchorKids, held every Sunday morning at 10 a.m. at Tioga School in Bensenville!
